[As usual when Hajime wants to talk to Haru, he doesn't bother texting first. He's just going to check the garden; first the one she'd set up, then the other one they'd found on the station. He kind of wants to surprise her with what he'd found, after all, and texting her would ruin the surprise!
There's a small wooden box in his hand that he's holding behind his back as he peeks inside.]
Hey, Haru? Are you here?
[If not, he'll just come back later. It's fine! He's not nervous or anything!!]
[See, luckily for Hinata. Haru happens to be in the garden that they originally set up. Moving things around and seeming like she is going to move some stuff from this garden to the bigger one on the station.
She's thankful their little set up isn't going to have to overwork itself much longer.]
[It's said more to himself than to her. Right, okay. It's not a big deal! It's just giving a gift to a friend. He's done that a couple times already, there's nothing weird about it!
He casts a curious glance around the makeshift garden first, though. So she is going to move some of it to the actual one on station, huh?]
Do you need a hand? I can help you carry stuff, at least.
[He tilts his head, gives her another smile. This one, at least, is a little less nervous-looking, as if he's trying to tell her not to worry about any apologies. He was yelling, it's true, and... the rest of it is honestly kind of a blur.
Before he can lose his nerve, he holds out the box with both hands.]
Here, trade you. I'll help carry your things if you hold this for me, okay?
[From his posture, it's like he's offering it as a gift, but then his words got all mixed up. Hm. Pathetic.]
It's not until he's picked up the carrot plants and glances back, a little hopefully, to see that she hasn't... opened it. Nor does she seem to think it's for her. His ahoge wilts slightly as he hoists the plants a little higher and nods toward the box.]
Um... it's for you, by the way. It's a gift. I thought... it was something you seemed like you would like, so...
[These carrots are not tall enough to hide his face behind, that's unfortunate.]
Honestly, though? That pink flush is reward enough, drawing a relieved, almost embarrassed laugh as he shifts his grip on the carrots. She looks pleased, but maybe she's just being polite...? Well, nothing for it but to ask!]
It's an assortment of teabags, right...? Maybe we could try it together.
[It should feel like a reward, simply because Haru never allows herself to do these sorts of things in front of others too often. Always watching her own appearance and how she comes off.
So the blush is definitely new, as is the flustering.]
[Does his pleased grin look stupid? It probably does as he shifts his grip on the carrots and nods toward the door, but he can't really stop smiling, either. It's not a date! It's just drinking tea with one of his best friends, who's really cute, and also incredibly kind to him.]

[He glances back for a second to give her an encouraging smile before remembering wait, shit, his cheeks are still flushed from embarrassment. Gotta avoid that eye contact again.]
I-I mean... the station is pretty dreary in general. Flowers and other stuff for decoration is... a really good idea. Maybe if enough grow, you could put some in the common areas? Like in the cafeteria or on the observation deck.
And I know we can always use more medicine in the clinic.
I think that is a wonderful idea, actually. Perhaps I should start growing things with a little more color.
