[ and it's beating pretty fast too, his breath is controlled and his expression is trained but he can't stop his heart from racing, can't calm it down, and he murmurs, aware of his own heartbeat ]
[ seizing up, one hand moving to the floor to keep himself from completely falling over and the other frozen in the air, like he's caught in conflict with himself - instinct tells him to push away, get away, use every means at his disposal to keep himself safe, but this
this was the plan. remember this was the plan. it's fine, everything's fine, take a deep breath -
the sound that comes next is strangled, a sound of pain ]
[ his breathing becomes quick paced now, audible and ragged, and he can't tell - when is a good time to stop? should he stop now? should he have stopped earlier? no, wait. wait for him - this is for the sake of recovery, so, wait.
his hands find themselves against skylark's chest, gripping tightly to his clothes like he's trying to keep himself from - or maybe trying to will himself to - pushing him away ]
[he's got his back against the floor and he has Lucifel in an almost iron grip, but he doesn't have all his strength back, so it's def possible to get away if Lucifel pushes him to the side hard enough.
because he's not stopping. he's hungry, his body is craving the blood, even if he normally wouldn't given in to an urge like this, and he will take as much as he can]
[ his frame trembles above skylark, from the tips of his ears to his tails; this was the plan, this was what was meant to happen, but he can feel his heart overworking itself now, beating fast enough that maybe it could escape the draining fangs if it leapt out of his throat - and at the same time he starts to feel somewhat faint, dizzy, maybe that's the bloodloss or maybe that's just the everything happening here, but he lifts his hand up, fumbling for his phone numbly.
distantly he thinks - he has to tell fox to open the door. it's still fine, here - but some time should be necessary to get the blockade out of the way to open the door, right? in the meantime, skylark will probably try to bust the door open if there's a gap between him regaining his strength and the door opening - so, he should tell fox.
he has the app open already - he isn't one not to be thoroughly prepared for situations - but he can't see what he's typing, so he just sends, ]
[fox had moved from outside the hallway to his atelier, so he hadn't heard the various thumps and suspicious noises. this was probably an oversight on his part, especially since he got so distracted by his project that he didn't think the amount of time lucifel had spent in there was particularly unusual.
when his text alert goes off he has to take a minute to wipe his ink and charcoal-stained fingers off with a wet cloth before even looking at it.]
