[doesn't lose his momentum as he gets back to his feet, directing his next swing at Lucifel's chest. his movements are steadily growing slower though, as this attack isn't as fast as the first one]

[ it is actually and genuinely true that he is weak, but only really in comparison to other superhumans - in truth, when it comes to mundane abilities and combat, especially hand to hand, he's fairly strong and skilled, skilled enough to move to the side with the swing and grab skylark by his attacking arm, intending to flip him - possibly directly into the wall?

[he does notice that, eyes flicking to the grip on his arm in surprise. his body is unable to keep up with the movement, though he grabs Lucifel with his free hand to drag him with him as he collides back first with the wall. he immediately wrenches himself around in an attempt to slam Lucifel into the wall in return, but his grip falters at the last moment and he just... falls forward against him instead]

[ it wouldn't be wrong to say he let himself be pulled, his expression that of surprise - that skylark would have that much strength - and briefly he freezes up to the thought of impending teeth. but that isn't what's happening - yet, anyway - and he instinctively moves to catch him when he falls, ears flicking ]

[the moment Lucifel tries to catch him, there's suddenly a tonfa being pressed against his chest, trapping him against the wall, and Skylark is just shamelessly using the push as support to keep his body upright, looking up at him from where he's leaning, eyes blazing red]

his ears are pressed flat against his head and all nine tails bowed low, some between his legs, as he stiffens against the wall; when he remembers it's a whole two seconds later, claws digging into the wall briefly. his ears grow pink, face flushed, but maybe that's because he's forgotten to breathe ]

taking a breath, pressing himself against the wall further so he can kick him in the shin ]

[that... that does unbalance him, and he falls to one knee, but not without grabbing a hold of Lucifel to pull him down with him]

[ bracing himself to go down, knees bending so he can bounce - his hands move to strike at skylark's wrists in an effort to get him to let go, the movement a quick and simultaneous chop ]

[narrows his eyes and lets go with a very inaudible and uncharacteristic low growl, swinging at Lucifel's hands with his tonfa in retaliation]

[ swiping his hands again, trying to parry the tonfa blows with his palms - more ideally he'd like to get him to let go of the tonfa but that's kind of hard. it's also a fairly awkward position, being lower to the ground but not on his knee and so not having quite the stable balance to do more than deflect ]

[if Lucifel has his claws out, he might slice up Skylark's hands because he has no sense of self preservation as he reaches forward to grab a hold of Lucifel's clothes to haul him closer and down into a sideways throw]

[ he doesn't know how to retract them so they're definitely out, there's a little slicing here while he reaches out to grab at skylark's clothing to try pulling him down with him too, like he's trying to roll them over ]

[Lucifel has more stamina and strength at the moment, so that pull is easy, and while Skylark tries to battle him for the top, it's probably not too easy from his side. he puts up a hell of a fight for someone who's barely conscious though]

if skylark gets on top of him

he'll die. that's the only thing that could happen. so he's going to fight like his life depends on it which does mean he'll get on top eventually, and straddle him to keep himself from being tipped over again, hands moving to pin the other's wrists down ]

[he had one tonfa but he probably dropped it. he swipes at Lucifel's hands as he tries to pin him but in the end his speed is severely lacking to avoid being pinned.
